Marie Carter is a Scottish writer who moved from Edinburgh to Brooklyn in 2000. She has had work published in Hanging Loose, The Brooklyn Rail, Bloom, turntablebluelight.com, Spectacle (circus magazine), among others and has work forthcoming in The Best of Creative Nonfiction (W.W.Norton, July 2007). She completed a residency at the MacDowell Colony in September 2006 where she worked on her book of creative nonfiction The Trapeze Diaries. She is the currently editor of Word Jig: New Fiction from Scotland (Hanging Loose Press, 2003) |
Carolyn Turgeon is a senior communications associate for the Center for Court Innovation in New York City. She studied English and Italian literature at Penn State and received a Master's in Comparative Literature from U.C.L.A. She has just published her first novel Rain Village (Unbridled Books).
