Written and directed by Lizzie Olesker and Lynne Sachs. Performed by Rosemary Fine and Veraalba Santa.  A multi-layered performance that explores the personal, often hidden experience of doing laundry among the washers, dryers and folding tables of a working laundromat. Produced by Emily Rubin.

LIZZIE OLESKER

Lizzie Olesker has had her work developed and presented at New Georges, the New Ohio Theater, Invisible Dog, and the Public Theater, among others.

ROSEMARY FINE

Rosemary Fine has performed with Origin, Mabou Mines, Irish Repertory and Kairos Theatre companies among others here in New York and The Abbey, Rough Magic and Gate theatres companies in Dublin.  She was lucky to have performed on Broadway with the late great Donal McCann in the famed Gate Theatre production of Juno and the Paycock. Thanks to Lizzie and Emily for including her in Every Fold Matters.

EMILY RUBIN

Emily Rubin, writer/producer. Rubin is the founder of Wash and Dry Productions which produces Dirty Laundry: Loads of Prose, a reading and performance series that takes place in laundromats.  Her novel STALINA (Mariner Books 2011) was a finalist in the International Literary Awards.  She is a recipient of the Sarah Verdone Writers Award.  Rubin runs writing workshops for cancer patients and survivors at Beth Israel Hospital and University Settlement.  Her second novel is in the works. www.emilyrubin.net

LYNNE SACHS

Lynne Sachs is a filmmaker and installation artist. Her film “Your Day is My Night” shot entirely in NYC's Chinatown premiered in 2013 in the Documentary Fortnight at the Museum of Modern Art.  In 2014, Lynne received a Guggenheim Fellowship.  She teaches experimental film and video at New York University and The New School and lives in Brooklyn. VERAALBA SANTA

Veraalba Santa is an actress and dancer from Puerto Rico based in Brooklyn, NY. She is co founder of El Kibutz del deseo and This Wave prod and an associate member of CABORCA Theater Company. She has worked with Viveca Vázquez, Sally Silvers, Javier Antonio González and Lynne Sachs.
